Leadership development - Merrill Lynch

Merrill Lynch had been growing steadily in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region as part of its declared strategy.

Senior managers within Corporate Services realised it was time that Corporate Services considered themselves – and be perceived as – a business within a business as opposed to a technical service department, in order to make a greater contribution to the Merrill Lynch wealth generating operation.

The VP wished to develop his team’s profile and their leadership skills.

Invaluable support

Linda Doe carried out a leadership coaching programme for the VP’s and HR teams and led several training courses off-site over a five-year period.

Her role was to support the company’s thinking on people strategy, change management and leadership skills development.

As a result of the success of her initial work she was engaged to facilitate the annual team building event with numerous teams and cultures from across the business.

Testimonials

“The support provided by Linda has been invaluable. With Linda’s support I have managed to appreciate my own strengths and weaknesses and gained an insight into the needs and behaviours of other team members. This has enabled me to develop strategies to achieve my own goals within the framework of an effective teamworking environment.”

Director of Purchasing, Merrill Lynch Europe.
